Chamber Gift Certificates
While the COVID -19 regulations and precautions have changed the way people do business, there have been some welcome innovations in local businesses which will have positive effects as we move forward.
Business owners are looking at different ways to do business, and the Chamber of Commerce is also looking at what we can do to help our local business community, and ultimately our community as a whole.
Richard Ehret, one of our members, suggested the Chamber sell gift certificates to encourage spending in local businesses. These operate in a similar fashion to Cowtown Cash, but are redeemable at any business in town, not just at member businesses.
Anyone can buy them in any amount over $10 at the Daily Grind. The money goes to the Chamber of Commerce, who pays the business the face value of the gift certificate when the business redeems it. The Chamber covers all administrative and printing costs, so there is no profit to the Chamber.
The gift certificates are redeemable at any business, but only at one business so the administration and redemption is as simple as possible.
This is a great way to give a gift for graduation, birthdays or other occasions and support our community. Thank you, Richard, for suggesting it.
I know what I would spend mine on. Do you?
